Share Your Number

SO, I finally cornered my husband, Trey and brainstormed our life's purpose. I printed out the worksheet and will corner him on our Number and probably revise that as well..or not.

SO, the new life's purpose is

to travel the world, acquire knowledge, spiritual growth ( closer relationship with God), help abused children ( Trey's pet project) and help animals. ( Juliana's pet project)

I have the next worksheet all printed out and ready to go. just waiting for the right time. I even printed the different lifestyles at 100K, 200K and 500K so we can discuss and pick the right one. He says he want to focus on making the $$$$. NOT on a bunch of stupid formulas and numbers. I just happen to need these stupid formulas and numbers so I have a road map for my journey to our number.

That's great ... and, thanks for sharing, Juliana! Cornering your husband WITH a slice of pepperoni pizza always works best ON me (at least, that's what my wife's worked out!); so, to help you with the money side, let's dissect;

Travel the world = TIME + MONEY

Acquire knowledge = FREE (just a library membership and Google should do the trick)

Spiritual Growth = also FREE (depends on your approach to tithing and supporting the 'church')

Help Abused Children = TIME and/or MONEY (depending on whether you want to be hands on and/or donate time/money to the cause)

Help animals = ditto

... also, TIME = MONEY ... you need to derive a passive income to replace the income that you lost in freeing up 'time'.

So, it all depends on: 1. how much time you need to free up (and, by when); 2. what lifestyle you need to fund; 3. cost of travel (coach, business, first ... same with accomm.); 4. what and how you intend to donate to churches/charities?

Looking forward to seeing how you work through all of these issues ... hopefully, others might have some ideas.
